Fibre reinforced composites are not yet widely used in the construction industry, even though they can offer untold possibilities for architects and construction engineers.
Composites are strong and rigid, they hold their shape and size, are weather-resistant and waterproof and have a long service life. NPSP composites are perfect for self-supporting structures in damp or exterior spaces. Relatively low investment costs and efficient serial production also makes them easy to produce in large quantities.

Strengths
What makes this material so interesting for the construction industry?
~ Self-supporting, prefab elements that are ready to install: thus improving the quality of the end product and making work on the construction site more efficient.
~ Several functionalities, such as insulation, damp protection, electronics and/or lighting can be integrated into a single element.
~ A high level of precision and detail (tolerance of +/-0.5 mm) and a flawless finish.
~ Integrated attachment solutions made of wood, plastic or steel.
~ High reproducibility thanks to double vacuum technology.
~ Can be made in any thickness or shape.
~ Long service life.
~ Low maintenance.
Innovation
Sustainable construction is becoming increasingly popular. Sustainability measures have been incorporated into Dutch building legislation and both national and local authorities are considering sustainability issues more often when purchasing goods and services. This means that the construction industry will be forced to find a different approach. As one of the leaders of sustainable development in the plastics industry, NPSP has developed environmentally friendly and energy efficient solutions that are particularly well suited to the construction industry.
