| VRAAG | Produce an environmentally friendly version of our cycle path signposts that are both better quality and more durable than the current ones. |
| OPLOSSING | Acting on an initiative by NPSP, the ANWB decided to replace their existing cycle path signposts with a more environmentally friendly version. The new signposts are made using natural fibre. According to the Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) method, this reduces their environmental impact by 40%. Thanks to the double mould procedure the new signposts are significantly more attractive and stronger than their predecessors. |
| DETAILS | Production in a closed mould system (VA-RTM) connected to active carbon filters which reduce styrene emissions to a minimum. Flax and hemp fibres in combination with polyester fibre. Quantities: 300-400 are made each year |
